A Washington Post-ABC News poll released Sunday found Biden trailing Trump with 42 percent support, compared to Trump with 51 percent support.

Not toward anything you wrote but about this poll and outliers in general. Outlier polls will happen, just like if you flip a coin 100 times in one of those sets it going to land on heads 70% of the time.

It is good WaPo and ABC published this poll as is and did not attempt to adjust it (herding). It actually speaks to their credibility.

Not a card he can play too many times though, so best to be sure that the underlying trend is still in a good direction for him. He can do that, right?
