Chris Christie being Chris Christie, ie. a complete asshole.

I gave him points earlier for not being an asshole during the debate as is his way.

Now he takes a shot at the moderators. He wanted a debate where he got to chew on Trump but Trump left him hanging so he gets nasty with the moderators so that he can get his obligatory nastiness in.

In truth, the moderators managed the unruly cast of characters there fairly well but were not able to stop the crowd from booing Christie. That is what his rub is. You don't hear the ones who did well in the debate saying it was out of control, do you?

Christie knocks debate moderators, saying stage was ‘completely out of control’

GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie was not pleased with how Wednesday night’s first Republican debate was moderated by a pair of Fox News anchors.

“I think the weakest moment for me was the weakest moment for everybody … which was that that stage was completely out of control,” Christie said during an appearance on CNN. “And I’m disappointed that the moderators didn’t play a stronger hand in controlling what was going on.”

The Republican former governor of New Jersey, who is polling well behind former President Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and others in the field, added, “there were a couple of folks on stage last night who felt that you go over time, every time. That they could interrupt and had a right to speak on every issue.”

He also criticized Fox moderators Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum directly, saying, “that’s where the moderators have to say no and shut them down. And that didn’t — that didn’t happen.”

Anyway, overall I thought last night’s Republican debate was totally entertaining. From beginning to end just 2 hours of total shitshow with very little basis in reality or facts (with some exceptions).

My impressions:

1. Trump was right not to show up. Being in that mix would have brought his “prestige” down. Total B league on that stage. To be fair to Trump I didn’t watch his Tucker thing on Twitter either. So who knows if it was a net win for him in total. Idk.

2. My overweight brother disappointed, as did mostly everyone else with the exception of Haley. Christie though geez. He was only guy unloading on Trump for months and when the big stage came he cowered to the mob’s boos. Loser.

3. Haley rocked that shit. Generally she commanded the stage and didn’t take any shorts, as we used to say. She absolutely owned Ramaswamy.

4. Pence is just too much of a throwback. He really came off like he was debating with W for the nomination in 2000.

5. Tim Scott just doesn’t have it. Not presidential material or veep material.

6. I know DeSantis is getting bad press because yes he was canned and checked which the wind was blowing and didn’t answer questions but IMO he still showed some strength and I absolutely believe him when he says he would’ve fired Fauci.

You can tell he is a phony asshole but still probably the second strongest 2nd tier candidate behind Haley.

7. Ramaswamy is a nutjob. When he said something about psychiatric medications my wife commented that he could probably use some. The guy is a loon who denies everything he has ever said and does not understand the geopolitical world he lives in or the importance of alliances and support to America’s own security.

8. Burgrum and Hutchinson were there.

I hate when people act like Christie is doing all for their personal gain or revenge. FFS, Big Boy didn't get the Attorney General nod and Romney didn't get the Secretary of State billing. It's disgusting and they are likely Rich men north of Richmond.

Looks like they have a BS number. The record claims Trump weighs 215 lbs. Obviously they did not put him on a scale.

Someone who is 6' 3" and only weighs 215 pounds does not have a figure like Trump.

Vivek Ramaswamy calls Rep. Ayanna Pressley, author Ibram Kendi part of 'modern KKK'

PELLA, Iowa — Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on Friday called Democratic Rep. Ayanna Pressley and author Ibram Kendi "modern grand wizards of the modern KKK" at a campaign appearance in Iowa.

It came in response to a voter question asking Ramaswamy, whose parents immigrated to the U.S. from India, if critics would blame him for white supremacy or call him part of white supremacy.

Ramaswamy responded by saying, "Ayanna Pressley, she's in the Congress today. She's a member of 'the squad.' Her words, not mine: 'We don't want any more black faces that don't want to be a black voice. We don't want any more brown faces that don't want to be a brown voice.'"

Pressley, of Massachusetts, is a prominent progressive voice among House Democrats and the first Black woman elected to Congress from her state.

Ramaswamy then quoted bestselling author Kendi from his book "How To Be Anti-Racist."


"Here's what it says," said Ramaswamy. "Opening lines: 'The remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination."

The passage of Kendi's book is surrounded by descriptions of anti-racist discrimination as “temporarily assisting an underrepresented racial group into relative wealth and power until equity is reached.”

Talking to reporters after the town hall, Ramaswamy doubled down on his comments.

"The fact that we're taught to see each other on the basis of our genetic attributes is something that would make the old wizards of the KKK proud," said Ramaswamy.

When pressed by NBC News on whether he was calling Pressley and Kendi "grand wizards of the KKK," Ramaswamy said what "the whole movement represented" is what would make "the grand wizards of the KKK proud."

It's not the first time the entrepreneur-turned-presidential candidate has made incendiary comments on race during the campaign. At a town hall in Vail, Iowa on Aug. 6, Ramaswamy called Juneteenth a "useless holiday." The day marks the end of slavery.

Yup. Looks like the Election Variant has arrived. Dems using one of their favorite go-to strategies to usurp powers and develop new classes of deplorables and people who need to be censored and monitored by the FBI. Oh, and "mail-in ballots for all forever." Covid is the Man.

I wonder if we will do reruns of the golden-oldies: "two weeks to flatten the curve," or "if you get the vaccine you can't get covid again or transmit it to others."

No doubt Chicago School Teachers Union will be on strike soon to protest demands that they teach to get paid. Yeh, Teachers being required to teach to get paid. Man, that's radical man. Radical.
