Democrats Block High Schoolers From Meeting With Marianne Williamson

Presidential candidate Marianne Williamson wants access to the disaffected young voters many believe will prove critical to Democrats' success in 2024 if she hopes to mount a successful challenge to President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination.

National Democrats, however, seem to be denying her that opportunity.

In a post on Twitter earlier this week, Williamson claimed her campaign had been rebuffed in their requests to meet with several chapters of the High School Democrats of America, claiming their members were told they "could not engage with any candidates other than President Biden."

Williamson's camp, however, isn't giving up.

In an email exchange with Newsweek, the Williamson campaign claimed that barring their candidate from the opportunity to engage with those groups was a clear violation of their bylaws, which state HSDA chapters are forbidden from endorsing a Democratic candidate until they've won the respective primary election.

Hey Tree,
I was thinking earlier, of the many hats now in the GOP ring, why haven't we seen Pompeo's tossed in yet? Is he playing it smart and staying out of the lime-light waiting for the last minute, or is he just sitting this one out? Which is smart too, staying out of what will surely be a mud-pit this time around.

He announced a few weeks ago that he was not going to run.

He wasn't getting any traction, basically.

He quipped on the way out though that "he was still young." Implying that he might run at some point.

Yep. But. as I recall he held off on running for Senator from Kansas which most people believe he could have easily won. So he paid a little price there for getting the presidential bug/ego.

Worse yet he took off about 80 pounds to prep for it. Man, that's a lot of nacho chips foregone. Oh, the price you pay as a public servant.

Lol. Yeah I heard them bandying that term about quite a bit on Bloomberg TV yesterday like it was some sort of break-thru policy agenda.

Insert the serious sounding host using her best broadcast journalism school voice with a positive sounding inflection: "So what is Bidenomics and what does it mean for the US?" As if she had unearthed some big scoop that should be leading the headlines.
