I am not saying that Chris Sununu is their man. Just saying the nature of the pickle that they are in (which, as an aside, is not greater than the dem's problems) is that they have to look him over hard. That look might only last a week but it is a necessary exercise.

Sununu is pro-choice on abortion- I guess at least in the first trimester- so I don't know what they are going to do with that. Each of the candidates has their own hurdles- duh.

They will put Asa Hutchinson under the microscope too. He has the required background but is low on personality.

Chis Christie's ship sailed long ago. He is just sort of a home entertainment system now if he enters.

The dilemma for the RNC is that these donors increasingly do not want to give to the RNC out of fear that they will crank out a dud. So they will save their powder until they see who the nominee is.

Youngkin clearly has skills both in the public and private sectors and he won a tough election. Nevertheless, there is something about him that is missing. Not sure what it is. There is too much of "Mr. Rogers" in him for me.

And if you have to splain how he is not like Mitt Romney, it is not a good sign.

So I see the potential in someone like Youngkin but it is unfair to compare him to Mitt Romney, or at least the 2012 election against Obama. Obama would have beat anyone then and now. And Romney turned out to be a senator after his loss. Not bad at all.

Youngkin would fair better than Trump or DeSantis against Biden.

Quite so. But he turned out to be a Senator for the democrats and rino wusses.

This is not all about Mitt Romney or Liz Cheney and how they are able to restore themselves in some role after defeats. It's about the republican primary.

I actually don't disagree with that. Lots of people could do better but at the end of the day there is the reality of that nasty old primary process that you have to get through and I doubt that he is the right one to run that gauntlet.

I don't mind him coming into the race if he wants to though. Unlike most others here, I am not trying to rig it so that Trump or DeSantis either win or lose. Let em work it out on the playground....oh, oh, oh, but if you let Carly Fiorina run, it will dilute the vote and Trump will win and Ron DeSantis's dick will fall off. Yeh. okay whatever.

Yep. There are two messages in there about DeSantis. One of course is that, yeh, it is good for DeSantis to have a good favorability rating- duh. No charge for that analysis.

But the other thing, is that it is confirmation that attacking DeSantis is not the way to go once you get outside of ultra-hardcore maga voters. They don't like it. No one is saying that Trump should not go on the offensive or be vocal on the issues. But they don't like anything nasty against DeSantis. Trump does not get that and that will not change.

All of this horseshit about continually trying to find the right nickname to demean DeSantis- soooo...lame and pathetic. Ron DeSanctus? What the fuck does that even mean or get you?

C'mon man.
