Well he has to get an indictment first since that is the road he has chosen.
And if he gets an indictment he can also chose to not prosecute.
And various other bullshit scenarios, where he gets the indictment but says that he is collaborating with other prosecutors who have asked him to not go first (a chickenshit but quite possible scenario.
Everything is lose-lose for Bragg so I am not particularly worried about it or have a favorite scenario. If he fails to get an indictment. Bragg is a loser. If he get an indictment and prosecutes. Bragg gonna end out a loser. If gets an indictment but pretends that he has good reasons to not move on it. Again. Loser.

As an aside, which is neither here nor there to the areas where we disagree, the judge needs to rein the grand jury in. The grand jury is entitled to independently call witnesses for the purpose of answering their question about whether probably cause exist. BUT.... jesus they are running a trial now with defense counsel there, arguments, rebuttal by the defense etc. WTF. This is supposed to be be grand jury, not a trial run for Alvin Bragg and the defense. We all know that some of that goes on to a certain extent in every grand jury trial. But usually the defense is not even there. And a little is allowed if the jury requests. But holy shit. This is like A LOT.

I called out Bragg yrs. ago when they dropped the Stormy investigation and one of the investigators resigned in protest. I also had read the statute of limitation had lapsed I thought? DOJ not prosecuting Trump on multiple crimes undermined their now rather suspicious/convenient timing. If they're reviving the weakest of the cases, I wouldn't be surprised if it's to let him skate on graver ones.
