Yes. We discussed the Trump predictable attacks on ALL THINGS.
Some of us decided DeSantis does not need to roll in the mud with him whenever Trumps wants.
DeSantis and his AG should just follow the law. Some people think that Trumps previous history of pressuring public officials to do things his way has helped. Some think it has hurt him.
This, exactly. If DeSantis thinks he can let this stuff and walk into the nomination he’s just stupid and deserves to lose. If the thinking is well I don’t want to offend the Trump supporters then that is stupid too because he can get their support when the general election happens.
Taking down Trump is going to be like chopping down a tree. One swing after the next until he falls or you lose. There can be no letting off the the peddle.
Trump is not getting a single solitary micro-piece of good news or coverage in the press this week.
And you want DeSantis to allow himself to be drawn into a drama in New York over some relationship with a slut and start fighting with Trump to give trump some issue or interaction to help him look like he is a winner against DeSantis?
Nope. DeSantis should enter the race according to his own timing rather than engage in nude mud wrestling with Trump on Trump's terms. Trump is having a bad week. You want Ron to help him with that by giving Trump a chance to beat Ron in public.
Nope. And nope on steroids. Let Trump be Trump.
Ditto for any days or weeks when Trump is getting bad press in or over Georgia, or in regard to the January 6 pending legal action. DeSantis should not jump in and offer Trump an alternative news drama for those weeks to help Trump out.

The Georgia thing is a different subject and probably wouldn’t benefit DeSantis to use as ammo on Trump but the Stormy Daniels thing is perfect. It involves issues with respect for the nuclear family, dirty lawyers, pornography, back room deals, obvious lies. He can couple that stuff in with some of the other accusers and remake into a long term point of attack.
And, I get you defended Trump on all of this stuff and so did a lot of other right wingers, so what? DeSantis’ target audience with this should be women voters and people with Christian values.
But I am sure DeSantis will not use the attack because at the end of the day unless it involves attacking a transgender woman DeSantis is going to avoid conflict. Totally weak. Probably lacking energy from being on a low carb diet, or taking diabetes drugs. Whatever still weak.

Let Trump work his legal issue in New York. And if he gets indicted, just speak generically about how Trump is procecuted for political reasons, but I defer to his Mr. Trump and his legal team on what next steps should be.
DeSantis should not follow a strategy of trashing Trump and Trump voters. He should let Trump continue to conduct himself in a way that frees up some of those voters and he is the alternative to pick them up. There are harsh things that need to be said about Trump and Chris Christie can do that and Ron should discipline himself to only respond where he must. And he is not even announced yet.
I get that you think that everything is missed opportunity if Ron does not engage in a knifefight because Trump is a "steamroller." And your view is noted and has merit. I do not share that view. Or rather, I do share it if I say that Trump is a steamroller with self-destructive tendencies and should be allowed to steamroll toward that without asking Ron to provide alternative news drama to help Trump out by giving Trump a chance to bully someone else while he is taking it up the arse.

The indictment is iffy- until it isn't. The grand jury process is actually kind of irregular. They are letting defense speak and present a witness. At a grand jury hearing? That's getting into the trial a bit and works against the prosecution if the jury is requesting it. Of course the case is wobbly to begin with.
The surrender and arraignment if there is any, will probably be virtual.
