DeSantis graduated from Yale University and Harvard Law School. DeSantis joined the United States Navy in 2004 and was promoted to lieutenant before serving as a legal advisor to SEAL Team One. He was stationed at Joint Task Force Guantanamo in 2006, and was deployed to Iraq in 2007.
A more focused reading of my posts will show that I said that Republicans "should work toward putting up a good field of candidates." including.... Not that being a woman or black is the goal.
Showing that the Republican party is inclusive of minorities and women is a good thing. You take that point and run in a direction that says that I am saying it is the primary goal. Nein.
Also, diversity of thought is not necessarily the goal either. The candidates may have diverse thoughts that are all bullshit. The goal is to get strong candidates. Other things are frosting on the cake. Versus the dems who think the frosting is the cake.
That’s the way DeSantis tells the story of his military career. It’s not exactly what the records show. You should take a closer look at his Gitmo record BTW.
They already have that. In 2016 they had a wide open field with whites, blacks, hispanics, women. Even with all that the democrats turned around and called them racist and the media was more than happy to echo that sentiment.

I remember when the republicans got on on Ron Paul's arse for being an outlier oddball in some discussion about the military and reminded them that he was the only one on that stage who had worn the uniform. They were ready to move on after that.
