Crime is a huge topic in elections this November, and the FBI has now entered the chat. It has just released the Crime in the Nation report for 2021. But the bureau switched the way it collects crime data this year, and many police departments did not get on board. Los Angeles and New York City did not report to the FBI. In fact, only 63% of the country's police departments submitted anything, and some of the data that was submitted was incomplete. Weihua Li of The Marshall Project has been poring over the FBI's findings.

Dems, I am not going to weasel on ya. If you get a win, it's big for Biden and I won't weasel with it at you will do if there is a hung jury.
I would think an early verdict would lean toward being risky for Trump because they kept their struggling with it time to a minimum. Of course "leaning" means nothing. The final verdict does. Trump has made a career out of beating odds.

Your president just accomplished a big step in using his powers to remove his political opponent.
He pretty much just ensured Trumps election though.
Not counting on it at all and maybe he won't.
But if he is, no doubt it will be appealed and take years for a final verdict.
Though again, if convicted, the "classy" guy will be running as a convicted felon. MAGA law and order types will love it.

We don't know what the final lesson is. If Trump wins in November there might be a lesson there for the dems and Biden- which is to be careful about trying to remove your primary opponent through banana republic tactics or you might end out seeing your man removed.

Check yourself into the psych ward. Trump broke the law, it was known. The only question was if the jury system could hold up under his pressure. It held.
Cut the bullshit banana republic blame Biden for what Trump did. Trump has always been a con artist and he crossed the line and got caught.
Big shout out to Alvin Bragg. I did not think he could get the conviction and many others felt that way but he knew his evidence and his team put up a strong case. Way to go. Not easy to do with all of the political and media pressure.
