For those that don't remember.

I remember reading about the LA ports working round the clock but still couldn't keep up with the queue of ships waiting offshore. There was no policy that could've sped that up.

What Republican would trust the govt to solve free market problems???? We've had three so called Republican businessmen elected president and all three saw market meltdowns of epic proportions - (Hoover, W, Trump). I'm surprised no one has suggested an amendment to the Constitution banning Republican businessmen from becoming President.

Most definitely was. A major cause of the backlog was the lack of truck drivers to clear the offloaded cargo. Thus the dockworkers had no place to put it.

There was an unlimited number of options, incentives, or emergency orders that could have been implemented to bring more drivers into the process. Since the entire economy and national security of the country were impacted he could have ordered or requested volunteers from the military supply corps units among other things. But those options were resisted by his union buddies there, who own Biden.

Policies that directly help people rather than 2 massive spending bills that take from the tax payer and give to business.

He should have also tried harder to keep his promises to progressives and blacks.

Doesn't mean it will happen. Does mean that Dems have several potential Rumsfeldian scenarios floating around out there. Could also have more than one Rumsfeldian factor, e.g.: Biden steps down in April AND No Labels still goes forward.

I have not heard much about down-ballot candidates for House and Senate who could run on the No Labels ticket. More to come on that, I would imagine.

Odds are you didn't see it, but Nicki did a town hall last night on CNN. Erin B. was hosting.

I have to say, she handled the questions quite well. Even the follow ups from Erin, that were of the "fall on your sword" variety.

I think you've been right all along. She is gonna gain momentum. Trump will take Iowa, NH is a toss-up, SC will probably go to Trump... but after that.... she may win Nevada. It'll be close.

I was impressed, she is obviously being groomed by the best there is. Money will afford that luxury, and she has some deep pockets behind her.

I dunno know Tree.... we may be looking at the first woman President of the United States. I was truly impressed with how she handled those lose/lose questions.

Yeh, I saw it. More precisely, I saw all of Desantis and probably half of Niikki's segment.

In the normal trajectory I don't see her getting past Trump though.

But - surprise, surprise, I don't see the race on a normal trajectory. I see nothing but Rumsfeldian factors ahead. Where is Nikki going to go if she builds a solid following but does not get the pub nom? Yep. That's right. VP with Manchin. Again, not sayin it will happen but it is one of the possible occurences along with some others that people can dismiss. Until one them converts into reality.
 
As these things go, it's all about the moment in time. My gut, albeit based on one town hall, is she has a damn good chance of winning.

I didn't watch the whole thing, so if someone asked a question about abortion, I missed it. No way that question wasn't asked, and I regret that I missed it. If for no other reason than just to see how she handled it.

Obviously that will be one of the 800 pound gorilla's she is gonna have to slay in a likeable way. Tough mandate there to say the least. BUT.... how many middle class suburban women, a crucial demographic, will overlook the party's stance on things, and go with a tough, hardscrap mother of 2, that has proven herself as a leader that embraces both sides of every issue. The abortion thing has always been controversial, maybe subrban moms that (rightly) feel they should have the right to chose.... maybe they'll look at the bigger picture. Our nation as a whole.

I go with with my intuition on many things, and my intuition is telling me that Ms Nikki Haley, has a damn good chance of becoming our first lady President.

Until otherwise,,,, pencil me in a strong supporter.

Naaaa. Manchin is a non-event. There is zero chance Nikki would ever run as an independent.

Just like stocks, I'm gonna make a bold prediction. She's gonna be the GOP candidate.

Edit:
And I think she'll take the Presidency by a landslide if Biden is her opponent.
