Pence just dropped out.

I dont think he had enough voters to matter who they will consolidate behind now.

But it's good to just get rid of him.

Not much mystery there anyway. He will eventually get behind Nikki Haley, if Mother says it's okay. I think she will.

It even puts him at odds a bit with Trump, who is less enthused about Ukraine but has some wishy-washy stuff he says about ending it on day one.

Good. That's what a frigging campaign is supposed to be about. It gives Christie fodder to go after Vivek too. Good again. Let em go at it. Ron Desantis can join in too if he wants to join the nude mud wrestling with Nikki- and you know he does. Tim Scott probably just wants to tell us that America's best days are ahead for a quick applause. Guess what Tim? They are not. We are holding on by a pubic hair as the lefties flush the country down the toilet.

Unfortunately the next debate is being run by NBC lefties whose goal is to make ALL pubs look bad vis a vis Biden, versus sorting out differences in the party. Ronna McRomney set that fiasco up. No doubt Mitt is pleased.

Mr. Pence's campaign failed to gain traction, largely due to everything Mr. Pence said and did being extremely unpopular with voters. "Pence spent the campaign presenting himself as a veteran of the D.C. swamp who would continue sending billions of taxpayer dollars to Ukraine," said political analyst Stephen Dunning. "I'm not sure if Pence hasn't, like, seen a poll in the past decade -- or spoken to a single Republican voter? But that's not really going to work these days."

The announcement today of Pence suspending his campaign has finally seen a huge wave of favorability for the Pence campaign. "This is easily the best day of polling we've had," said Mr. Ross. "People are going crazy for this decision. You can just feel the support."

At publishing time, Mr. Pence had made another unbelievably popular move in announcing that he would not seek to join any ticket as Vice President.

He is a good man, but now will be relegated to irrelevance. -----already was, but now it's official.

He still has areas ahead of him where he needs to decide how he is going to conduct himself.

It would be a good time for him to fade off into the "senior statesman emeritus role."

On the other hand, he may want to participate more in poking Trump in the eye as some others are doing. Hopefully not but only time will tell. He has done some of that, and some of that is allowed because politics is a blood sport. But hanging around siding with others to do sour grapes stuff would not help his legacy.

I imagine he will eventually go full Nikki Haley.

Right, he will go Haley as DeSantis is too much like Trump.---- In my view, I think he destroyed himself when he wouldn't even question the election. No one, including Trump was asking him to overturn the election on Jan 6. What was being asked was to question the results which he had every right to do.
