You'll love this one...Well, she dried it up by not performing well in the polls and not doing well in early states.
As I said, note to Ron: Don't do that. He is trying to raise cash in an environment where he is falling in national polls and in state polls. That's pre-Kamala. If he can turn that around, then that will be a feather in his cap. I am not out to push his face in the mud. But he has to start pulling rabbits out of the hat, not me.
Nov 7 is the day when a lot of this will begin to sort itself out. Virginia has an odd-year election on that day and that is only five weeks away or so. Younkin brought in a lot of republicans when he was elected and now he wants to flip the other house, and from there argue that he was able to win republican votes in a state that Biden won- and upon that success (if it happens) make his decision about running. He already has donors. BIGTIME. who are waiting for him. That would be a radical Rumsfeldian event if he declared. But if he doesn't then the field is probably set. And DeSantis is now fighting Nikki for second place or will soon. Which is a step down from fighting Trump for first.
Some of the donors might get snaky too and donate to RFK if they think he will take more dem than republican votes (remains to be seen). Some of them are okay with Trump but don't think he can win so they lean toward DeSantis. But if DeSantis continues to go flaccid, they may accept the fact that Trump is going to get it (and if Youngkin does not run) and then concentrate on damaging Joe by contributing to RFK or No Labels Manchin or the like.
Bill Ackman was on CNBC earlier and he said he wanted a candidate the entire country could get behind. After side-stepping the question a bit, when pressed, he finally came up with Chris Christie. I guess it's not over until the fat-man sings.
