Yes I have a daily stop loss fixed by my firm for my automated trading and my discretionary trading. I rarely hit it though.
Watching the Masters right now and will be watching the Yankees vs. Red Sox later on tonight. I'm expecting more greatness from Alex Godriguez -- that's no typo.
After watching Rory McIlroy blow his lead and subsequently capitulate has been a great example of how important psychology is any competitive sport. Golf is probably a pretty good analogy for trading b/c you're constantly adapting to weather conditions that you have zero control over (the market) and you're really only competing with yourself during the entire match.
I love watching K.J. Choi. He's so steady. No hesitation at all in his swing. Good for Tiger. I know a lot of people continue to root against him. I hope he wins. If his play this weekend is any indication of things to come, he'll be returning to #1 very soon. Anyhow this is a great match. I'm sure that each player's psychology will play a major role in determining who wins the green jacket.

Choi, yes. Tiger! NO!!! Did you see the Tiger's interview after his round...what a freakin A#$hole. I gave him a chance after what he did but yesterday solidified what a true duffus he really is. He deserves everything that his happening to him. I could care less if he never wins a tournament again.
No, I don't think we saw the same interview. I saw the one right after he finished the 18th hole. He didn't really say much during that interview. Tiger's a helluva competitor. I love watching guys like that compete. I don't really care about what he does in his personal life. I don't have kids and I'm not perfect either.
We saw the same interview. He answered both questions the same (cold and disrepectful IMO). He still has not learned anything from what he did and probably never will. If it was not for the fans, he would not be the filthy rich A-hole that he is. You don't need to have kids to understand what he did was wrong. Agree, nobody is perfect. I am not either.
Anyhow, was a great tourney. Charl played great.

I lost about $550 in my discretionary and my automated made about $95.00 bucks. Exciting stuff.

Interesting POV. I thought he was just trying to answer the questions modestly. I didn't think he was disrespectful. Doesn't really matter though since he lost.

Slow day for me. I almost didn't trade one share the entire day until closing imbalances. I had no losers today. I made two trades and they made up my entire day. Not much to speak of.
The market appears to be in a state of indecision to me --- leaning toward the downside in the short-term. The trend is still up, but how long that will remain the case I'm not very sure. The market seems like it wants to breakdown but it hasn't totally materialized. I'm still watching the long side. SINA and YOKU both looked very strong today although I don't have a position in either one. I'm still interested to see the market mount a rally without AAPL participating...I don't much see how that happens without a new group of leaders emerging.
That said, AAPL's action today looks reasonably constructive after finding support above yesterday's highs and closing above the highs of 4/11. It's constructive that SPY found support right around yesterday's lows. This displays a lack of sellers below 130.96. But we still need buyers to continue higher. As earnings season progresses, I expect that the market may offer more clarity. Thanks.
