I helped a woman I met on ET a couple years ago. I taught her one of my simple (highest odds) price action strategies and told her to study hundreds of appearances of the setup. I advised her to master that setup and then other ideas would start to come to her, but it was crucial to master one setup thoroughly first.

I worked with her for a few months. She is the only person I worked with who followed my advice. I hadn't heard from her in a while and I touched base with her recently to see how things turned out.

She ended up getting funded by TopStep Trader and she said that my help made a difference in her life when she was struggling.

Maybe it's the student that has to work.

Hey ND... I have a question if you don't mind about this whole getting funded business.

I simply doesn't why traders aren't trading their own account, so what am I missing? If trading futures, which I assume she was given that she was learning from you, even a $10,000 account would have allowed her to trade a couple of contracts. I imagine a minimum of $500 would be more than possible as a daily average of what she could make (more some days, less other days, but I think this is a good number, or at least in the ballpark). After only a couple of months of trading after you are doing it right would allow for sweeping some nice profits out of the trading account and into anything else.

I doubt that a futures trader moves to trading 50 to 100 contracts just because they have access to a much bigger account. Now none of this applies of course if you are trading equities since you do probably need that several hundred thousand as a start, but once a trader knows what they are doing, I just don't understand why they need someone else's money.

I have two (that I know of), plus two in process (we'll see if the latter hatch without significant defects). So these results are not unusual.

There seems little point in keep posting my trades live as I take them so any updates/results will likely be at the end of day going forward
