There was never an our truce. Another of your imaginations.
You do what you think is right, I'll do what I think is right. Simple enough.
Are your guesses close? They are neither close nor far. Keep guessing though...and I trust you will be able to play by whatever rules are set down for you, and that you will have the willpower to abide by them even if you don't like the rules.
After all, we are at the mercy of the ET Dictator, who I have found to be a merciful dictator, if I am reasonable with him...and abide by his rules.
"Looking a couple steps ahead for a moment:
You're going to say that you never asked for a truce. My reply to that will be that you just asked me to quit all my ad hominem towards you, a few pages back in this thread. That can mean only two things:
1)You're asking for a truce.
or 2) You're asking for the right to thoroughly troll me whenever you like, but you want free-reign to do this with zero retaliation, ever.
So you did ask for this truce... either that, or you were asking for something completely ridiculous & illogical that no one would ever agree to it- one or the other."
1. Wrong, I never asked for a truce at all.
2. I don't troll, that's your imagination again at work. Since every member has the right to click the ignore button, they can't be trolled...they can only volunteer to read what someone else writes...
The funny thing about truth though...nothing bothers a person like the truth.
For instance, if I were to say you were a normal person living in Alberta Canada...and if that were not true, and since it is not an insult by any means, it should have no sting to it. You might think, "he's is wrong, but what do I care?" It isn't true and it is not a personal attack that needs to be defended, there would be no need to defend nor retaliate.
So whatever I might say, if it is false, how could it impact you at all?
Most of what I do is just quote what people have already said, offer up an opinion...but if my opinion is entirely false...then why would someone actually care?
People around ET make up lots of lies...are they effective in getting a person riled up and defensive with their lies?
Perhaps, buy why does a lie sting so much?
No, the truth stings much worse than a lie...especially if it is done so in a manner that reveals an even deeper truth about a person, a truth they are trying to hide from others or even themselves.
So, you can do your truce thing or not, you can do what you think is right or wrong or not, mox nix.
I'm just doing my thing, and doing my best to follow the ET Dictator's rules...and if what I do ends up creating more hits for the ET Dictator's web-site, and if that increases his bottom line financially...then I am contributing to the capitalistic process of an independent business man...out of the goodness of my heart...of course.

Quote from Rearden Metal:
Well, you've made it through one post without voiding our truce yet. I suppose congratulations are due.
That's fine by me. You know exactly how to end the truce that you asked for and I've committed myself to, so please feel free to do so at your earliest convenience. Until then however, I'll be abiding by my end.
Okay, lemme guess: You subsequently responded to his generous peace offer by relentlessly provoking him into cursing you out on the boards, and then you complained to the mods and got his poor Hawaiian ass banned from ET.
Am I close?
