1) does he make grandiose claims?

2) does he manage anyones money?

If yes, then a record may be useful in convincing the doubters (if he wishes to convince the doubters). If the answer is no, then he is in the same boat as you so he has nothing to prove. (Per your logic)

I understand he has written a few books. Does that mean he is supposed to prove anything?

Have you written a book about trading? What about a single post about trading strategies or techiques? Did you prove them with a reliable long term trading record? Let me guess. A resounding NO!

People write all kinds of books. Some are true. Some are fiction. Some are lies. It is a free world. It is up to the reader to comprehend and apply what is written, if applicable. With your disgust of all PA and PA traders you obviousley must have tried it and you could not understand it, nor make it work, hence you lamblast it and all PA Traders.

Again where is your record?

I don't know who he is and don't care. I trade for a living and am not affected by others opinions...no matter how smart they are.

Fund management and trading are not the same profession. We don't have time to figure out the meaning of life every time we take a position. Using charts allows us to make directional decisions in real time. As far as Al Brooks goes, I've know him for years and he has forgotten more about day trading than most of the slugs who inhabit ET.

I agree. This TA vs other methods is such BS. Whatever works for you do it. Simple as that.

But I tend to believe that the ones that are NOT fans of TA tend to be Liberals. They seem to have the same modus operandi as the Liberals. They claim everything anyone does that does not agree with their opinion is sheer blasphemy. They also seem to be the most outspoken and insulting of people. I wonder if we took a survey how truthful people would be about believing TA is crap and being Liberal. I suspect its a high percentage correlation.

Its like people can just say prove it...and that deligitamizes you (so they think) until you provide statements and trade history. Its like someone calling someone else a racist and then saying prove that you are not one. The argument is eerily similar....If you dont want to believe in it, FINE,...move along already.

Ill say it one more time, if you think TA is bullshit why tap the glass to scare the fish??...if you think you are so wise and are a shark that thinks everyone that believes in TA is stupid then by all means you should be encouraging my stupidity,....so just come take my money. Come on,...I Dare You.
