Edge

As a brand spanking new, full time position trader (finishing my fourth week) my edge is:

preserving my initial capital

knowing how much risk I am taking ($ and %)

understanding what my risk really is

what my objectives are

following my written trading plan

written business plan (almost finished)

patience

realizing being out of a market IS a position

knowing I'm in for the long haul

daily journal

making mistakes (so far small ones) and learning from them

assuming I am wrong and waiting to be proven right, instead of the other way around

double and triple checking my orders (think I'm a closet dyslexic) before sending 'em in

being able to put my losses behind me

keeping a sense of humor

knowing there is no spoon and it's all a game

and having a fully supportive wife and family (they all love Cocoa)

My biggest edge is having a fully supportive wife. Both emotionally and financially. She has been a tower of strength during this long, long learning curve. I couldn't be doing this without her.
