Economy souring? Blame the fed says Trump

It's a house of cards. You do a one-off tax cut which lowers Fortune 500 effective rate from 10 to 8%. $600B in lost tax receipts in the first two years. GDP was supposed to be running above 5% annualized and we're at 2% thereby, again, proving Laffer to be a hack. Reagan -> Brownback -> Trump and McConnell.

The Byrd Rule will be enacted in the Senate at some point in 2019.

Trump took credit for the economy on day one when it was a continuation of Obama policies... so yeah, he's going to take it in the ass when we get the 10% heater in the next six months.

Tax cuts? Done. Supply-side? Trickle-down?

Go to any gas station--affluent areas--half of the pumps show transactions of $10, $20. I take it to mean that people are paying up front at the register. How many of you partially fill your tank? I'd guess none here but I see it every time I fill-up. How well is mom and pop doing if they can't fill their cars with gas?

One of my kids teaches at Mathnasium. I drop him off for a three hour stint. A guy pulls up in a new Range Rover Sport to the dollar loan store. My first impression is that he runs it, but he's got what looks like loan paperwork in his hand. He runs in and out in three minutes. This is fucked up.

The economic numbers were all fake prior to November 8th, 2016. I think unemployment was actually around 40percent. Trump came and saved the day. Thank god we have a businessman in office.

I assume you are being sarcastic, since unemployment during the Great Depression of the 1930's was 25%, and we were nowhere near a Great Depression when Trump took office.

Blame the Feds, yes. Must be incredibly frustrating that the puppet that he put in that post is not being under his control anymore. It's too bad that he is not on "The Apprentice" anymore where he can just get rid of somebody by the patented phrase "You are Fired!" Just like the rest of us, Trump will actually have to live with his decision. Poor him!
