Economy in free fall but equities in total rally mode!!!

we have been hearing this for weeks now


This crisis is the largest the world has ever witnessed in all of history and if stocks can rise in this backwards world than no other crisis in the future will ever ever everrr have an impact on wallstreet and that is a fact!!!


The economy is in free fall. So why isn’t the stock market?
Everything is bad, and yet somehow the stock market is good.

What's the big deal? Why is everyone constantly raving about this?

It should be obvious to anyone the market is based on forward expectations relative to previous forward expectations. So long as the market is open, there is opportunity for profit. Remain objective and open minded, form a plan and stick to it. So what if the Nasdaq and unemployment both hit all time highs? It is an opportunity.

Maybe we'll hit new lows once employment begins recovering!

I question whether the market is even based on forward expectations anymore. I think the fed has created a "moral hazard" situation where there appears to be no-risk in investing in SPY or QQQ if you're willing to hold for a couple of years.

At one time i thought we'd at least revisit lows . That looks totally off the table as what could be more fearful than 150k dieing and long term unemployment at 6-8% min . Many stocks back near ath's like HD and Apple like nothing happened yet their business over the net year or 2 won't be near as good . The truth is earnings don't matter and never did matter . All that matters is can your buy stock a in the morning and sell it higher by the close . Nothing else matters
