ecbot down

I just went short on the dip, then stop loss, then long, stop loss again. WTF? Just shut it down :D

I would think this is pretty big deal an exchange shutting and cnbc barely mentioned it, when the exchange for chavez shut down they were all over it, big news but this is the 3rd time in as many months and they say nothing, you would think rick santelli would come on saying something about it, seems wrong, and it seems like its always around a good sell off

Anybody get a POP UP notification from TradeStation?
I have my alerts window minimized and nada!

I am doing NO MORE than 10 RT's/month with them starting now.

Huh? You must be confusing timezones. No crystal ball, just a profitable trade in a uncertain exchange situation.

Just wondering how you knew ahead of time that the exchange was going to go down?

What makes you think I knew ahead of time? I opened a YM position @ 2:04pm EST, outage occurred at roughly 2:10pm EST. I flattened via DJ pit traded contracts at approx 2:40pm EST.

Now lets do the chronogical using CST...
1:04pm opened YM position,
1:10pm approx, exchange outage
1:40pm flattened via DJ pit contracts
2:00pm exhange back on line.

If I had a crystal ball i would have maximized profits on the trade.

Osorico [ you can call me Gandalf if you still think I have a crystal ball]

Not me. I used the pit traded DJ to flatten my YM position (put on a long 2:04pm, minutes before the outage)

No need to get defensive Gandalf - read your post - it suggested that you FLATTENED right BEFORE the outage. Based on your most recent post it explains it better. No worries.
