EBAY Changes Feedback System- Sales about to Plummet?

Did he have a cancellation within an hour option policy?

Anyway,i use craigslist now.Too much drama with ebay and your identity and info is not safe with them at all.

Besides Craigslist, which I consider marginal, what other competitors to Ebay exist ?
None ?
I thought the web was all about competition and free choice, etc, etc. ?
Or has it become socialistic like our society ?

Catch 22 - no one is going to sell items at another auction site if there aren't any (many) buyers there. Buyers aren't going to go to a site that doesn't have a good selection of items from sellers. Its all about critical mass - Ebay has it.

There are other auction sites - that fact that you aren't aware of them proves my point.
 
eBay is way too much hassle unless you're getting something rare

If you can get the same thing in a shop or from a proper shop's website,even Amazon,then pay a little extra and go there - I've stopped using eBay altogether now,there's always a problem.

Whenever I've sold something on eBay I'm always amazed about the seriously stupid questions I get asked and it's usually a pointless question from someone who doesn't even bid.

It's not even cheap to sell stuff after listing fees,percentage of final value fees and paypal's percentage.

eBay,more like FEEbay!
 
I have seen 2 things recently trying to buy some DVDs

1. There are brand new sellers (with less than 10 feedback) using 1-day auctions & also try to get payment within 24 hours through Paypal before Ebay has a chance to notify buyer that they will not get their product. I have seen location of China for the sellers !!!

2. Sellers with good reputation but not using their account for a while must be getting hacked. Then they setup a lot of sales & try to get payment quickly before Ebay can notify buyer. This is what happened to me (I think) since seller was not new & had a good feedback score. EBay removes the listing, but I had already paid via Paypal/credit card.

Since they removed the listing, I assume I will not get the item. What is going on here :confused: ???????
Seems like they are just covering up for their inablility to prevent HACKING of Ebay.

since you paid with cc you will be refunded.Had you paid with a cash balance or bank acct thru paypal you would lose all your money with zero recourse against seller.Even worse since ebay totally deletes the transaction you cannot even get any info on the seller and ebay will give u the big F U.

Paypal and ebay are a friggin nightmare.
Look at all the china sellers selling horrible fakes.Ebay allows it cause they list so many auctions and generate huge fees...

Now Ebay will not even stand behind this transaction. I will have to see if either Paypal or my credit card can reimburse me.

This seller had 100% positive feedback from all different buyers with long memberships. All the positive feedback is still there for you to read !!!!!!! It just says "no longer a registered user". What is going on here :confused:

My guess the seller is selling stolen or bootleg DVDs & has to keep on changing IDs in order to sell them.
Does anyone know what is going on with this ???

Come on, aren't there any Ebay seller frauds who surf here :p
