K. thanks.. what I'm trying to get you to think of is..

if the last bar closed at all time 30 bar highest.. let's say.. 50
then the highest for all the last 30 bars is also 50 right?

so will the high of last bar ever cross higher than highest of last 30?

yeh , try putting the hhv back a bar usually some sort of -1, i know in metastock would be ref( hhv,50),-1)
