I ended up buying a quad stand and without a doubt glad I did. I have an ergotron stand in my main office and there is no difference once its all set up (other than theprice). I have 4 23" monitors on it and you can adjust each one individually. Also, if anyone is looking for a great deal on a refurbished machine...I cant speak highly enough about Tom Winston -WinstonTJ. he hooked me up with 2 great machines and has provided better support than you will get with a DELL or anyone else.

Does the Quad stand have the ability to "curve in" at all, or is it totally flat? The picture in the link makes it seem like it can adjust inward.
I found this link through another thread. I was going to upgrade to a quad stand by either Planar or Ergotron (I used to have a DoubleSight triple stand), however the price on this quad stand is very reasonable. I don't want to get caught buying something that can't "curve in".
Joe - it did not curve enough for my liking. I don't recall now how much (if at all) it did curve for my 23" widescreens. Could be dependent on how big your monitors are too and the 'extra' space between each.
I would highly recommend the brand though, tremendous stands and tremendous value.

be advised if you use it with 19" or 20" 4:3 spect (old type) for the monitors to touch at the edge and give a seamless fit they will be so far forward the mount will become unstable - the solution is a weight at the back of the stand - I use a dumbbell (or you can drill a hole trhrough the desk and use the supplied bolt and plate).
What is good is that they can be set way back - I use them for the top row wabove a 30" monitor and it works out well.
If you don't want the stands set back then this one with the sliding mounts would probably be better

I will aslo attest to the build quality and value for money - with one reservation - if you live long enough you will see screws the same size as 3 there eused to attach the baseplate to the pole shear - yes I know the combined strentgth of the three bolts is probably 1000's of Lbs - but if you live long enough.....................
I would add that if you have the desktop footprint 2x vertical is a LOT more manageable than 1 quad - quads are tricky - especially for neat alignment.

Agreed. 2 verticals offers more flexibility to 1 quad. You can turn 2 verticals into 1 quad and still have the ability to angle the monitors in if you want. You may not want the angle in now, but you might after working on a flat quad, which is exactly what happened to me. IMO get the 2 verticals to start and make it a quad if need be, but give yourself the option to change it later.
2 verticals also allows you to turn it into a 6 monitor unit by adding another vertical. If you have a quad and want 6, you are stuck ordering a new 6 stand (and your quad being scrapped) or add a vertical to the quad, which may look funny.
