Easter: The silliest story ever told

Once again big arrow -- now you are dodging the question. Why did you say the bible picked a date?

If there is a God I think he is the God who identifies himself in the Hebrew Bible. And I do think he came down from heaven as Jesus to forgive his sins. But, that is faith, I do not confuse faith and science as almost every true atheist does.

Because of my faith I think other religions are not correct -- when their beliefs conflict with mine.

But to I would say I am agnostic as to whether muhammed is a prophet of God. I seriously doubt it. I have faith he is not. But I know I could be wrong about God. I have faith I am not, but I could be wrong.

Yes. Its rich in symbolism, but i would mainly point out how he approached it with an attitude of Lordship over it, which includes his forgiveness of those who seemed to be complicit or involved. He did not later seek vengeance. He did not take Pontius Pilate to court, ect. It's really another apparent injustice to say that he is going to be back later for vengeance on a mass scale. This too can be forgiven.

To those who were near him, he showed them that he was master over matter, including the feelings of the body. And so, he approached the scenario without fear. And if they would learn what he was teaching, they too would make themselves unable to suffer pain of any sort.

I would say that it was his forgiveness process, over a lifetime(s) of practice, that rendered him fearless, unable/unwilling to feel pain, and able to do things with his body that the "guilty" can't handle. Metaphorically, we are all crucified, and are suffering some kind of apparent injustice. But if we forgive, we will also understand that we are Lord over all circumstance, and *rise/awaken* like he did. Btw, he awakened/rose before this whole death/death-defying scenario.

I believe in God. I have a very strong belief there is a Creator. And I believe that Creator revealed himself to the jews and we could tell who he is and what he says is true by the way he kept his promises to the Jews.

Do I know there is chance that I could be wrong. yes. What do you expect from me meta physical certainty.

If I were that zealous I could only be an et atheist.

You're mistaken I never said anything about the bible stating the age of the earth. Tradernik said "All anyone has to do is consider the following. jem and peil believe that the Earth is 6,785 years old." And you called him a liar or was it another atheist liar. Then I asked how old do you think the earth is, a question you apparently don't or can't answer.

Well it seemed like you were pestering me because you had an answer but perhaps you thought I was being evasive.

I have no idea how old the earth is... do you know how old it is?
