really bad trade.
the things we do when we trade in real time is amazingly stupid and ridiculous
i went short even though there was no trend line break of the bull trend line. it was a long trade all the way for a test of days high.
this is what the great man says is a trading range day......
on some higher time frame it is a range... it is also broadening pattern running stops on both sides..

some one asked me if I need Brooks to swing trade and this is the reply.
this is from the depths of my heart .
i know it is difficult to help somebody in, what may well be, the most challenging and satisfying business on earth.
here goes nothing.... but hopefully it may become something:
no not really.
i think i , do not need him but at some time you have to leave the nest and fly by yourself
but it took me a long time to understand Brooks.
so you need faith
most are looking for quick fixes and 99 % lose because 99% give up.
now i do not know how long you are going to take.
i do know that if you sit beside me for 3-5 years daily i could teach you. that is not possible i know that but if it is , join me.
swing trading can be about set ups to control risk , that is useful at first and that is why Brooks says you use them.
today i did not use them but today, the market, my market, ES was in a trading range and in a range you cannot use stops you use limit orders or you use market orders and i use market.
ES is for the hardest and experienced and smart professionals
i suggest you try forex futures like 6A OR 6E. they are little easier to trade because there is some real genuine buying and selling from real users like governments corporation who need to transact for their daily needs.
ES is not like that .it is dog eat dog.
so everyone has only one objective : feed off the other guy.
this does not lead to a very friendly working environment. That is why traders work alone
you have to be among the top 1% to just survive.
survive that is the only object.
survive and you will get stronger

Nah, it ain't that bad. Been doing it for 20 years now. There's plenty of dumb money here as well. As I've always said, don't be looking for smart money to follow. Look for those who are dumber than you. That's the only way to SURVIVE. Seriously.

yeah but it is worth keeping something on the side. the novices should approach ES with utmost caution.
i have traded both fx and Es and fx is easier to swing.
EVERYONE KNOWS THE BASIC patterns so they morph into something else now.
they do have to tempt you into thinking you are sure what the market is going to do and then they spring the trap.
forex there millions of genuine user who don't trade but need to trade for other needs.

Only in a trending market. Not helpful when it's rangebound like today as you can see...
some use 8,13,30.
Brooks says an ma is useful
like everything in TA it is useful.
