How do you handle it when they don't stick to the earnings calendar? Or are you just playing momo or mean reversion on the reactions after the announcement?

It's a very common response, but also a very legitimate question. Why not answer it?

Our group has been running a news/earnings based algo for a few years, and it has absolutely sucked over the last 8 months.

If you have some secret formula that others don't have, why the hell would you sell it at any price?
