A current Bloomberg article, Wall Street Bulls See Hope for Reprise of Earnings-Season Bounce, says

The arrival of earnings season has historically served as a remedy for ailing equities, lifting the S&P 500 76% of the time since 2013. In the current cycle, cut-to-bone profit estimates -- which have been slashed down by more than two-thirds in four months, the most since the first quarter of 2020 -- are making the hurdles easy to clear, at least based on how the early reports have gone.

I subscribe to the Bloomberg site but not the terminal. How do they define the earnings season? How would you?

We all know what earnings season is and when it starts and ends,knowing that is child's play. The hard part is building a strategy around it. My results have been "mixed" and not exactly what I would call robust.

Good point, it is the same for me, struggling a little bit to make good results
