Currently I do not have any earnings position. I am looking at IBM,ZION, ABT from short side and UTX from long side.
I have to go somewhere in the afternoon, will buy straddle for UTX and sell straddle or Bfly for shorts. UTX slightly undervalued from my calc, not much. Last friday KSU was a big winner from long side. Too bad for me, I hesitated to pull the trigger.

I cant find any longs today! In my opinion the premium is really rich across the board.
IBM looks fairly priced to me. What do you have as the implied move for UTX? I have it at 2.8%
Names I will be shorting today. ABT, IBKR, AMTD, ZION, CMCSA, KMB, TEL.
I noticed that vol ramps up last 30 min of trading going into earnings (liquidity really vanishes) and I always get a better fill at that time (if short).

Hate to be taking the other side of you here, but short the UTX 102/111 111/118 synthetic fly for 3.65. I hope you are right as I only have a small position.

Wow just got filled on everything 10 seconds into the close.
Spreads were to wide in the flys, had to do synthetics.

Agree. Unfortunately I am usually busy with other things in the afternoon.
Just got back, I had at 2.9%
I had standing buy order of UTX, since closing price had moved away from straddle price of 112. It got executed pre morning.
