The brown border is the least of it. The main TDA logo clearly says sim and every trade is denoted as such.

Real TDA accounts have green font (shown below) with a live trading quote. Sim would show as that orange-brown text replacing green.

The bottom line...Stop claiming you made real money when you do not show us that you really did. It's just awful.

I could say the same thing and not show anything to back it up, but that is disrespectful to the community. You remember that word...COMMUNITY. I have reverence for the people who take their time to try to explain what they do, why they did it, etc, but I will NOT pull shit like "Man, I made 2 grand today" without backing it up with a journal update, because I have integrity and like being honest about the trading.

IIRC, someone made a similar comment early on in my journal about it being possibly fake, but I shut them down right quick with proof of the unfakery with statements, and platform bits that anyone here could try themselves to realize that it is not sim.

You should do the same. For example, download NT7, and try to create a sim account with an exclamation point in it. You can't. Shit like that.
