It was mentioned elsewhere on ET that traders can use CQG-connected platforms to trade in the professional account with Helios, but not in the Gauntlet or live sim.
Could you confirm this is still the case and that I will be able to use a platform of my choice that connects to CQG order routing servers?
I am pretty sure it is possible as Ironbeam (your FCM) does support CQG but want to confirm

Hey @bpj , unfortunately this is no longer the case. Since Helios uses some custom Rithmic risk management operations that CQG doesn't support, you'd be required to trade on Rithmic.
 
Is that likely to change? Perhaps when you finally change your FCM as I think you were planning to?

Honestly couldn't tell you at this time. It's not even something Helios is currently looking into as they are pretty happy with Rithmic and the FCM.
 
I downloaded the free rithmic trial. It looks nothing like what Im use too. I searched for a while and couldnt find CL or GC. Mostly futures for options.

Very weird, try "cl front month" or CLX9.

If your using R Trader Pro open an Order Book double click on the Symbol.Exchange textbox and select NYMEX then CL. on Sierra its similar if your using bookmap its just CLX9 as stated above.
