Earn 2 Trade the gauntlet

I made 12 trades starting at midnight (mst) with 9 winners and 2 losers. I am up $106.32 after commish. I think I will stop for today and not even attempt to trade after the open. The feeling of giving this back would make me feel bad. I would rather bask in my small win today.

I don't know how to do day trading heavy scalping and I don't think I can master it.
I only know day trading light scalping focus on chart for entry.

ES, Since you have a lot of familiarity with ZB as your chosen trading vehicle I have started to take a look at it. When you look at the liquidity per number of contracts bid and asked at any one time it is 20 times what CL is. How ever when you look at a tick chart ZB looks like it is lightly traded. CL has 20 times the activity that ZB has. Trading ZB seems like watching paint dry. Can you or anyone else explain this?

ZB is a spreadtrading vehicle. Most daytraders shy away from it. It moves like a big steamship with a market consisting of a bunch of little speed boats jetting in and out and around...

Be careful with the CL and know your news!

I find instruments like the NQ very hard to trade.

I actually like the way the RTY trades. But I do not trade it for the Gauntlet.

P. S. ZB reminds me of this card dealer in Vegas. I went to his table and he delt real slow...I mean real slow...he actually was counting the cards with me...The casino was not real busy but there was a lot of money in there.

Mondays are tough. I must remember in the future to trade light and do not start at Midnight on Mondays. I believe today has produced my worst performance since I started the Gauntlet. Today presented never ending trends with pullbacks without follow through.

I did not have one winning instrument.

NQ 3 winning trades, 3 losing trades. -$191.84
RTY 4 winning trades, 2 losing trades, 1 scratch -$20.48
YM: 2 winning trades 1 losing trade, 1 scratch -$109.56
ZB: 2 winning Trades, 1 losing trade, 2 scratches. -$53.09

I lost -$610.89 today. I had 11 winning trades, 10 Losing Trades and 4 scratches.

My Gauntlet balance is: $25,900.09.

I must refine my rules and add the symbol RTY:

Daily Target: $200.00
Daily Loss: $1,000.00

Weekly Target: $500.00
Weekly Loss: $3,000.00

Monthly Target: $1,600.00
Monthly Loss: $5,000.00


I trade 2 Complementary Systems:

Pattern Matching: ES, YM, NQ. These trades are opened at the US Stock Market open. They have a MOC time stop and an intraday target.

Scalping: ZB, ES, YM, NQ, RTY. I trade for impulses using order-flow tracking within the depth of market (DOM).

Modifications to this trading plan are to be expected during the course of the Gauntlet, in which case they will be immediately forwarded to Earn2Trade for approval.

you ES loses are pretty good (3) trades with only a -$234 same with NQ. Did you close YM,rty and ZB trades early? or because your scalping you give more room for the downside?

More room to the downside on the YM. That sucker really moves. RTY was moving very fast the short time that I had it today. I added it this afternoon.

ZB has much more spreading going on than day trading, much harder get filled on limits and tick size is $31.25. I prefer trading the Bund, smaller tick size and greater volume, allows limits to get filled-trends nicely over night. As tick values declines, often times means more volume as allows under funded traders jump in like Ten year T-note. Trading not about how much I could make, it is how much of the "mean" I can pull in.
