Earn 2 Trade the gauntlet

I hooked up some killer Logitech speakers (top end). Good Early Evening Ladies and Gentlemen... welcome to the Partay. Remember drink responsibly and have an out of this world experience. Oh my GAWD!

The walls are pounding and the windows are vibrating...(technology! don't tell Wifey what I paid for these)

Shit! my office is like a THX home Theatre! You guys gotta' come over and hear this! (even that Ninja Trader chick is going to sound sexy on this)

Reason 501 of not having a wife. Good sound, listened on my Logitech head phones. I get bored with women too fast to ever get hooked.

Sorry Folks I get to the Partay mode on Friday night after a week of trading.

Interesting thread below (Earn2Trade/Helios is building a trading portfiolio with the select few that can beat this 10-fold).

I once offered a Forex contest and sponsored it...I wish I could have thought of what Ryan thought of...this is an awesome approach to find good traders. Earn2Trade is truly looking for good traders and their budget is not soley based on the Gauntlet Fees unlike other competitors.

P.S. Gawd I hope I do not blow it...I really want to get in with this group. I am down my first week...I guess I got to pick it up a little. See my new rules...I padded extra DD in them. But I do not want to be one of those traders that dramatically makes changes to recover...I am not really concerned about my DD as it is so small...I need to start to think about profit and get out of the high defensive mode that I am in. So my changes are not about recovering they are about profit making. Trading less of the ES is my salvation...stay tuned for next week... it will be a good read and hopefully not a roller coaster.

I finished my first week down $168.68 trading 1 contract in the Gauntlet. In relation to 25k that is a drop in the bucket, but 1 week of trading was not a drop in the bucket.

What will I do about my trading? Stop trading the ES. This first week is meaningless. I made two mistakes this past week which I can correct next week. I shall see if this will improve my results. I will trade with more ZB contracts and stop trading all of the ES trades. I find the ES hard to trade and I lose all the money I make in the ZB to the ES. The breakdown is like lose $410.85 in the ES and make $242.17 in the ZB. The second mistake is to trade in and out with one entry and one exit...I will scale in and scale out of my trades as as a new value-added feature to the extravaganza.

Here in ET comagnum taught me that the NQ is better to trade than the ES by more than 50%. Cost wise the NQ's ATR is twice the ES dollar for dollar. Why does anybody besides computers trade the ES? So I am watching the NQ on the sidelines...not trading it yet, but some details look promising. My new rules have allowed for trading the NQ if I decide to.

Thank you Earn2Trade for this opportunity and have a nice weekend everybody.

ES

You seemed committed to trading only one contract to demonstrate a conservative trading style to E2T. Are you changing to multiple contracts in order to add "scale in and scale out"?

As I'm sure you are aware hope plays no part in trading.
IF you have an edge just roll the dice /take the trades and take advantage of your edge.
The fact that you are making changes whilst live trading and the psychology expressed in your posting/s does give the appearance of a lack of confidence in the methodology you are applying.

TRS,

In the ES my methodology the way I trade it does not work. However my trading partner makes a living from it. This is discretionary trading and no two traders read the DOM the same. He has Jigsaw I do not.

However the same methodology in the Bonds work with the tools that I have. I have proven it. I am plus in the Bonds. The ES has not helped me in trading....EVER

P. S. You sound like my trading partner. He told me to roll the dice. I just don't like to use that term in trading. I approach trading defensively as I want to survive. My first week has proven that.

hey ES, don't pay any mind to those detractors who post insults. I appreciated your willingness to give a day by day report and look forward to your daily post. Take out ES like you said and you are profitable and ahead of schedule. It is a 9 week test and this is just the end of the first inning. That said, I personally wish you would stick to what you started and not make such a major change so soon to multiple contracts. It is not like it is a failure if you do not pass this first time. You can always practice with the scaling concept and try the Gauntlet again if by chance you do not make it this time. We are rooting for you.

What detractors?...I have many people on Ignore...

My original plan was trading two instruments...by cutting back the losing instrument freed up some power...so trading 1 contract has only turned into two or three. The results will not change with zero's on the end of them.

I will still trade the ES...just less frequently...a lot less frequently. I have already cut my number of trades down dramatically.

Trading the Gauntlet is an educational experience and I recommend it for ALL aspiring traders,

ES

P.S. I did not know I had so many ET friends here. I thought that nobody read my posts over the years. There are some senior traders in ET that really know their shit...so I am honored. I have tried to pay it forward over the years and all of your help is appreciated and remembered.
