You'd need to check with your broker to be certain but based on the following document, it does appear it would.
https://www.cmegroup.com/market-dat...it-a-to-schedule-4-non-pro-self-cert-form.pdf
The piece that makes you a pro is:
(f) be solely for the Subscriber’s personal or private use;
(g) be limited to managing the Subscriber’s own assets, and not be used in connection with the management of any assets of any third party(ies) in any capacity
If it was only that part, then your own accounts I believe would be fine, however, it states also:
The Non-Professional Subscriber must not:
(d) be registered or qualified as a professional trader or investment adviser with any stock, commodities or futures exchange or contract market, or with any financial regulatory authority
FYI
I just checked with Tastyworks. As long as a customer is willing to accept delayed data while with a prop firm they will not charge anything for their feed. For me, that basically means my account with them would be on hold while at a prop shop.
I checked with my other broker, eOptions, and they will charge pro fees if you are with a prop shop.
Hi Ryan
This is good stuff - a few questions
Do you have to be flat at market close? (like others demand)
I already have Sierra with the CTS feed, must Sierra be powered by Rithmic?
If you choose FX, which platform, broker feed is used? (MT4,MT5)?
Please advise
Hello, I would like to know how many standard forex lots and which currency pairs can I trade in 25k Gauntlet? Is Oanda the broker? Does it allow hedging, scalping, holding orders during news and over weekends?
Pl attach a link for related info. Sorry if I asking already answered questions.
Thanks.....what is the forex leverage offered on Oanda account? The amount of lots depends on what you trade. We do use OANDA so you can find a calculator here: https://www.oanda.com/forex-trading/analysis/currency-units-calculator. They don’t allow hedging due to US regulations but the rest you can do.
