Does it matter what color the states are anymore? It's clear the Dems have rigged their primaries with Superdelegates to prevent a non-Establishment type from winning. I just wonder what it takes for the liberals to abandon their party the same way the new non-Pat Buchanan Tea Partiers did.

I expect most decent Canadians would firmly embrace achilles28 and find him to be a great neighbor. The values of right-wing posters are obviously aligned with nearly half of the Canadian voters as demonstrated in the past two decades of elections in Canada.

Let's take a closer look - Stephen Harper of the Conservative Party held the position of Prime Minister from 2006 to 2015 in Canada. He was the first prime minister to come from the modern Conservative Party of Canada, which was formed by a merger of the Progressive Conservative Party and the Canadian Alliance. In most federal elections his party received over 50% of the votes. Even in the 2015 election (which the party lost) the Conservative party in Canada received nearly 32% of the vote.

The positions of the Conservative Party are very similar to the positions of people "on the right" expressed in this forum. Harper and the party oppose same sex marriage, support the definition of marriage to "the union of one man and one woman", does not support climate alarmism, supported an increase in Canadian defense spending, desired to reduce federal spending & welfare payments, reducing illegal immigration & deporting illegals, and a large number of other items aligned with "rightie" posters on ET.
