early open sunday for nymex energy

ha ha, just what I heard pal. and yes I take everything with a grain of salt. Centarus is an energy monster and like I said I'd rather be with them than against them

Would you have traded an event like 9/11 say if it had happened here in London on Canary Wharf ?

Of course, I would've made any attempt to hedge or trade. My point is that the guy is hopeful that the entire Gulf Coast infrastructure is wiped-out. Imagine such a statement made during 9/11.

FWIW, I went short on the NYSE open post-9/11.

Nothing has changed since friday. It was known friday it would be a cat 4 and the path has not changed 1 iota. Understand i'm not debating the amount of damage but what i'm saying is the the hurricaines power and track have not changed

Agreed 100%.

There is a powerful high-pressure system headed South which will converge with Gustav. With any luck the fronts will meet well-offshore.

certainly didnt get the pop i expected, very slow session. Hopefully it gets weaker and weaker and catastrophe is averted

Im no noob my friend, a little bird told me that on friday a MASSIVE energy hedge fund got extremely long NG and they bought all they could buy. I like my odds. I hate making money off people's misery but that is trading sometimes sadly. In a perfect world Gustav takes out all the oil and natty rigs in the Gulf and then dissipates.

Wow, your sincerity is really touching.

Amarath (not sure of spelling)was big and built a nice long NG position that the market got wind of and look what happen to them. So falling the big guy is not always smart..
