If all of these mortgages blow up the entire ETFC business and it drives them to bankruptcy, then someone can scoop up the valuable online brokerage assets. Buying the entire ETFC now would be buying all of the toxic mortgages they have. I would wait for the mortgage mess to clear up before I would consider putting serious money in ETFC.

Im sure they would be bought out before bankruptcy would even be mentioned.

Nice pre-market action and bounce from yesterday. If I see this drop below 3.50, I may go in long for a quick trade.
