Trading is the sweetest creme de la creme, yet hardest, profession in workdom for a number of reasons, but most importantly because of the enormous freedom it affords the successful warrior. Think about it .... the ability to walk away from the massive HERD of 6-8 billion (and counting) who go to some form of slave 9-5 job daily - ((ONLY EXCEPTION AT ET = deadbroke = always (99.5% of this lifetime) an independent, always a lone warrior on the fringes of society = always hunting for my meals )) .... to do what? ... so they can buy nice things for the "body" and look nice so the "body" can procreate/mate/family etc., ... (the spirit needs none of these things, but trapped in a body he is forced to comply, therefore the escapism from such provides him with a superior existence in jail. :)

Successful trading allows the warrior to bypass all this stupidity as a total lone operator with startup costs negligible for all practical purposes. The freedom of the successful trader is nonpareil in the real world. It is for this very reason that the PHYSICAL UNIVERSE by virtue of its nature demands that achieving such is extremely difficult. And so it is borne out in real life by the stats at brokerages etc.. The majority lose big and lose big consistently. Of the 5% that win only a very tiny % of that win really big.

That is the truth of it.

A fellow who enters this game has GOTTA at least know the size and capability of the enemy if he is going to ever become successful. And the danger in TRADING is multifaceted in that the enemy lies not only exterior to the warrior, which being surrounded and bombarded from 360 degrees is already past his tolerance limit, then add to it the DEVIL = treachery = sabotage WITHIN and you have the makings of the 95% loser syndrome.

That he gets knocked down several times and rises again to fight is a huge +++++, so much in the + column that the UNIVERSE only rewards such individuals and these prizes are given off in terms of decades or centuries to a very select few.

I have no doubt that I will be one such individual but therein lies the ultimate trap # 2, namely, so does every other miss goody2shoes at ET and in the world at large. It stinks, man. :)

4K is what I call "fuck you" money - its strictly for emergencies of a grave nature - thoroughly explained in my TA thread since I've been expecting DEFLATION and total bank failure. Its food/gas/wherewithal money for a short period of time that allows one to think and sort out stuff.

2K is burn money, spending money. throw it about for me my friends and gals who fancy me - this gets replenished frequently. :D :D

It never changes regardless the pants I wear - all custom made pants to hide the bulge(s) nicely; this goes along with the yours truly designed black, grey, brown and maroon belts (worn one at a time of course) that are pure martial arts weapons that will never ever be made illegal in any country because the design will never be mass-produced or given to anybody regardless the offer to buy.

Only problem is when swimming in a pool - the waterproof pouch around my neck is not comfortable. Lockers? Don't trust 'em - neither in Thailand nor stateside. Just yesterday at Bally's the cops nailed 2 cocksuckers who broke into someone else's locker.

If attacked in public by anyone with less than a gun, I can take out upto 10+ fellows in under 60 secs. - if I can find a wall to cover my back, I can take out twenty ...... :) :D :D

Again, all explained in my TA thread and elsewhere but a brief note here of my firm character on this subject ..

An American is a fellow who buys to satisfy his immensely obscene desire to consume - and he does this with money he never had, never will ever have, yet always hoping he will have, and he repeats this ad infinitum until he gets kicked in the ass real good approximately once every 70 years - when he has what we now have in America ... absolutely rotten state of affairs with the ones in power just pissing in our ear and telling us its raining.

I don't live like that. If I don't got the money for something, I acknowledge that I don't, don't beat myself up about it and don't try to convince myself that I didn't need it anyway - because I'm not a wanton consumer - I get only what I need and then a little + ...... its like a pinch of sugar in a large cup of coffee (not a spoon or several tablespoons)

Women are a fckup but they are necessary - if I were on my own, my living room would have just a fckin chair and TV and be a large rectangular room. Ditto for the rest of the house. But some compromises have to be made and I do it easily for the right girl, which I have for 10 years now. :) :)

Returning stateside I find that my credit score is 761 with no open accounts but long history showing. Instantly the dealer said, we can finance that car for you - my exact response was, "suck my dick, you ain't financing zip"

The final sentence of your post qualifies your analysis as speculation. I feel confident that when you do become 'one such individual' you will look back with all the extra learning available to you and see that this analysis was wrong.

The market requires a stream of new players with the same goal as you to continue to facilitate wealth re-distribution. I am very confident that the deciding factor between the ones who become successful and those who fall by the way side has nothing to do with ET.

Partial agreement with you TsunTzu, but remember my point is that ET is an excellent barometer for gauging universal worldwide HERD temperature aka Sentiment.

So many professional sentiment analyzers who charge $ for their services and for which I would never ever know the real sampling rate or the rigid conditions under which the stuff is done, I can do that easily here at ET when most are off-guard and don't know there is a TRICK question coming in that they just casually MOUTH-OFF. There is no better sentiment analysis than this "Mouthng-off" because what you are after is the unconscious collective that is then rationalized and used for debate by the individuals' conscious mind.

ET therefore has profound value because there are nothing but traders and investors here regardless posers or real.

At every major turn in the Euro I will unlock my IGNORE LIST and read the torrents of nonsense from the HERD and when the sentiment hits 95%+ I put them back on Ignore and watch for the Top or Bottom.

In my book the stupid people offer great value (as depicted above). Use it well. Its a free gift. When you have HISTORY to
back you up in that THE CROWD is always wrong at MAJOR TURNS you'd be a fool not to use that resource.
