In addition to the PM I sent you earlier, we just realized you can use the enter key and have the mouse cursor move to the next line.

In order for that to work, you have to turn the linking off ( hit the link button in the upper left next to the small symbol box ). Cursor will then work as you want. When you then want to alternate symbols on the same line so linked windows update as well, then you simply turn the linking back on.

Thanks.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!

I have not been beta testing the new version of esignal and wanted to ask those who have, hows it look?.....particularly the testing/replay feature, and the volume ticks. Just wondering and anyone know when its coming out? ty

Hi Natalie,

It is currently possible to code indicators on top of other indicators. In the upcoming release of 7.2, we're adding a formula wizard that will make it much easier to do such things as this. One of the most requested examples of this is what you mention, placing a moving average on an RSI.

At the link below is a formula, which I created, for a MA of RSI. This is the first formula I've created (I'm no programmer!) and it was done thru the Formula Wizard, which is currently in Beta for 7.2. First, download the formula into a folder of your choice. Then add an RSI study to your chart, then add the formula for RSI MA. They will then be in two different study panes. Press the shift key, hold, & click on the RSI MA indicator, drag over the RSI Study and drop. This will give you the RSI Moving Average of the RSI.

Here's the link to my file share site. The file name is; RSI MA.efs.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns to this.

Andy,

In dragging an indicator to overlay another, is there any way to chose the side of the pane that the label displays on? Is it only defaulted to the right side? This makes it impossible to overlay dissimilar indicators, such as volume and stochastics. I'm trying to duplicate my current Realtick chart layout (as close as possible).

Per my PM, we're working on your request today and will hopefully have something for you by the end of the day.

Sorry for the delay and confusion regarding these emails.

Thanks.

God forbid that I should be thought of as an unreasonable man, so you tell me how many self-imposed deadlines, promises, and the like should I put up with before walking away in disgust?

Let me make it easy for you. All your support staff needs to do is multiply the Average True Range calculation by a factor of 2.5 - that's it. Somewhere in the code someone need do nothing more than type "* 2.5", and my request will be taken care of. I would be happy to do it myself, but I don't know how - I guess that aside from being unreasonable, I am also a dummy.

" * 2.5 " 4 simple keystrokes - countless e-mails, PM's, and posts, plus some 17 days later, and I am where I was on December 29th - nowhere. Let me spell it out for you again - * 2.5

If you don't know how to do it, how in the world would you know that "all" that needs to be done it for someone to type "* 2.5"?

Just pulled down and installed build 531 and the ticker symbol changes are much faster now than 524.

With 6 linked charts of varying timeframes build 524 took over 7 seconds to switch all charts; now it's back to the customary 2-4 seconds.

Much better!
