E-Signal Problem

Quote from travelingtrader:

What are the best alternatives to eSignal for those of us who have now decided to switch?
Maybe we can get a group discount if we all switch from eSignal to another provider en masse :D

CQG is pretty reliable but expensive

Also you can use IB's data feed and run Sierra Charts which is very low cost, and reliable

Steve

i think there are only 2 ways to go. upstream (cqg) or down stream.

f-signal is priced pretty much mid-market.

cqg may be the most expensive, but what do you lose in terms of missed trades with f-signal? will that pay the extra + for a cqg license?

i dont trade off minute charts, so reliability is more of a pain in the but than than missed opportunity.

i have gone downstream and am trialing

www.prorealtime.com

(java based :( )
no issues yet, but the documentation is lame and it gets getting used to like any new s/w product.

Will eSignal reimburse us for lost profits?

Perhaps we can find a lawyer to file a class action lawsuit against eSignal to recover our lost profits for today.

Lost profits? LOL, we'd be lucky to get a pro-rated reimbursement for the time the service was down.

Without even bothering to look I'm sure that the eSignal agreement we signed up under has more legalease ass-covering than you could ever dream of...

Great the feed is back but alas...

there is a 19 minute gap in the data and some symbols do not come up.

How the hell can I trade with 19 min gap in the data?

This sucks big time.
