E-Mini Size & Cars

40 nasdaq points = 1 QQQ points.

40 nasdaq futures points x 20.00 per point = 800.00

= 800 shares of QQQ.

trading 1 emini is the equivalent of trading 800 shares of QQQ. It may not alway work out to exactly that at any SINGLE moment, as they each have theer own demand supply pressure, but it will over a short amount of time.

I'm an ex-CME member and "cars" does indeed refer to railway cars. Early on the CME's biggest products were cows and pigs (and their parts) and the contracts were sized to the average weight of said animals that could be packed in!

The biggest benefit of QQQ's over NQ is the ability to scale in and out of positions in smaller amounts.

If you trade multiple NQ's, then NQ is probably your better choice.
