When Government makes decisions that will make or break a company then influence will be necessary to get the vote to save your company.
Nothing wrong with a company hiring a lobbyist to help persuade votes in their favor.

The way to fix the problem is not to let the Government have such control over the private business and private lives.
Don't give the power to the Government to vote on something that will convert your interests into the interests of itself.
 
The rant is two years old, but still entertaining. The fact that it still plays as if it was current only demonstrates just how pathetic our political system is. Nothing, absolutely nothing has been accomplished since this first aired. Just a never ending, perpetual campaign by our glorious leaders.
 
I understand your point and it is solid concern.

So perhaps we allow limited lobbying but no campaign bribes.

The tax code needs to be eliminated.
