Quote from JSSPMK:
I treat Jack Hershey as Marx/Engels of a trading world, people may invest thousands of hours reading & seeking the truth only to realise that it is all but a sweet dream. In this life there is no such thing as true perfect, close to OK, but Jack is trying to sell the idea of us able to achieve unattainable perfection in trading, whilst he can not show us how in real-time, maybe one needs to be a magician, at least they can do magic in real-time...but they don't reveal their secrets![]()
Learning to trade can be done in many ways.
Here you see people talking about books and taking courses and self learning.
You are a person who wants to be shown by another person. A lot of formal education seems to work that way.
Two groups were given some objects and told to figure out what is possible. Two other groups were given different objects and asked to figure out what possible ways a part of their body could be working.
Learning content by being shown what is what is not very successful. There are two reasons and they are illustrated here. People have prior beliefs and they stick with them. It is also true that people who are shown what is what lose the content of what they were shown after a short while.
The interviews are just content oriented events; the content goes away after a while.
So how did the various learning experiences work for people who where given something to do with a few objects? Two years later they could understand what was what. Their reference group who were given content and told what to do with objects, could not do the task at all after the time period had passed.
I never went the teaching route at any time in my life; instead I supported learning and assured that the learner got the learning accomplished. It is magic it turns out. The ETS, in Princeton, said what happened wasn't possible even though it had happened for ten years with a 100% SRS. The results flew in the face of the standard. It was magic for sure.
Learning is more a process and and less being presented content.
Here is a question. A TV cameraman wants to film his reflection in a mirror. He wants to see more of himself filming in the reflection he is filming. The director needs to help him out. Be the director and get the camera man to be successful.
So what would it have taken to give the content to allow success? What is the alternative to learn the answer as a learning process? Some people know automatically either way. These people are knowledgeable. for me as an architect, I know immediately from design experience. But homeowners often do not know nor do contractors when it comes to dealing with mirror problems.
So take a wire a foot long,a bettery and a flashlight bulb and arrange these objects to light the bulb just after you walked off the Harvard graduating platform, diploma in hand.
Fifth graders can give all four solutions in a few minutes.
Take a lens piece of paper a candle and a spoon. Use a rule and matches and some paper and a pencil. As an intermediate step write out the math equations that show mirrors and lens follow the same single equation. Then come up with the many ways vision works in various fauna.
At some point you can discover something about yourselves. You got screwed as you were "educated". Books, multiple choice tests, term papers, essays, research, the internet; you got screwed. Your teachers were screwed before they screwed you.
So now you have all this knowledge learned as content. So now you can't acquire skills when you look at an opportunity.
You can buy the magic book and use it but you can't do magic as the magician who wrote the book can. you can't pick up the objects to do the magic and make the magic work.
Lets say a person demands to see an SCT video. He does it over and over in ET. Why doesn't he just go and get the video and run it to his heart's content? Well, we all know why. His "education" screwed him.
Think about the idiots here in ET that think that channels are drawn in hind sight. think of how their teachers in school screwed them royally.
Think about picking up two five minute bars and lpacing them next to each other and figuring out how to draw a channel. Use a pile of bars and limit yourself to any two a see how long it takes you to figure out if and when you need more than two bars to project a channel.
Let a computer give you bar after bar and you draw the chanels using the fewest bars you need. You probably can't project the channel to the right since you as an idiot have the forming bar on the right side of your screen and the is no blank space of the future showing because your stupidly chosen platform doesn't allow that.
So Mr Black draws and projects channels and he trades the turns. In eight trades he makes much more than the H-L net for a small part of a day when the DOW is going to go through 12,000.
Get a crayola and try to get past the fact that you were totally screwed by all of your teachers. teaching is a myth and learning is a process and NOT a content presentation or some dumb interview or magic book.
What were the books I wrote? Teachers and scientists used them to change the way they did what they did.
Each of you is affected by me. Drink a glass of water. Drive your car. Put out your garbage. Breath the air. Watch SCT on a video. Show some white place on the right side of your screen and project a channel(s) into it as a container of price. Notice when it is time to take profits.
