I am most definitely female, but having watched the hijinks here for a while I am not surprised that you have doubts. I am a horrible housekeeper though so somehow the moniker "housewife" feels strange.

Thanks for being such a good sport Lucky. I'll be gone for a while, too. Being semi-retire-ded (have to say that with a Southern accent to get my drift) has its advantages. For example, I get to pretend to be a successful trader on a nationally-renowned medium and to give trading advice to the unwary. But it has it's disadvantages, as well. The wife works, and now I have to go clean the kitchen and make dinner before she gets home!

Back to your earlier question on position trading.
Right now I have so little faith in the under performing political class that apart from ES account I am in cash.

It may not pay much but with the current deflation rate that is as good as future gains.

But mainly I completely lack trust and confidence in the global system.

Pres O has the rhetoric off pat, but he has a long history of zip achievement.
Where was his wonder team when for years some of us have been crying out against CDS, off-book behaviour and ruinous credit.
If the wonder team claim they couldn't see the problem then, trust me they are not going to fix it now.

Why save an industry (auto) that has been too dumb to save it self.

All jokes aside, these last few months travel ending in Mexico have clinched our plan to settle about 100k outside Buenos Aires on a small farm.

This mess will take years to sort out and then who knows what the world will look like.
We are not prepared to wait for years plus the Argentinians are experts at living well with a dysfunctional political system ... same as the Italians, they are experts.

It just now occurred to me as I was washing dishes, that after an exhaustive day playing Sensitive Guy badly, that just maybe TRADING IS GENDER-SPECIFIC! Tara, darling! Get in here in help me! I know you don't have morning sickness yet!

And surely there are other REAL girl traders here! But my reputation precedes me like stink downwind of carrion, so maybe, Lucky, you should start an all-girls support thread. Or even better, petition Baron for your own forum! I'd volunteer to moderate. Hell, I'd even sponsor it! Whad'at cost me, Baron? I can pay in real-time NQ calls.

Great wide swathes of Appalachia are sparsely inhabited, perhaps due to population decline from inbreeding. A 100K out from town? You'll have to helicopter the champagne in! And what are you going to do for comms, sat uplink?

Fearless, the farm sounds like a great idea. I think that was Faber’s investment advice a while back. Will you hang out here occasionally if I promise to refill your margarita?

Musing on the past, I realize that there ARE many verifiably female traders here, because over the years I have regularly received hate mail from all of them. They invariably start with "You disgusting, reprehensible old..." and end with "You need serious psychiatric help!"

So if you're out there (Surely I didn't outlast them? Wolfenstein, darling, are you still here? I never got that icewater enema you promised me.), forgive a perverse dying old man his transgressions and regressions and obsessions and spirit possessions and help Lucky with your secrets to success!

Comms. 5mg in Arg via dish with around 100+ channels. Maybe 20 News channels (english mostly) from all around the world.

5mg is what you pay for but what you get is something else.
An amigo emailed the other day saying he has regressed to 1mg and the download is faster ... this sort of thing is beyond my pay grade of course.

We get DVD movies often before the movie is released in US, although the occasional 'not for public viewing' in the bottom corner can be very off-putting and I have thought about complaining several times.

Ideally, we want the life style to remain 30 years behind yours with our comms and entertainment lagging by a year.
Who said you cannot have the best of both worlds,
