Thanks for the suggestion about trying different combos, I'll try it. One thing is the Nvidia card is an AGP card and the Appian is a PCI card. Don't know if that has anything to do with it. As far as Win98 vs. XP goes, like I mentioned, I bought and installed XP on a new hard drive, but with my 500 mhz P3 and slow connection it just didn't do well at all. I'm just in a temporary situation where dialup is the only option. I had a cable modem before but not here. So anyway, as I mentioned, until I switched to RealTick which didn't like the Appian driver under 98, everything worked fine. When I get a broadband connection again I'll switch back over to WinXP on my new hard drive. In the meantime I'm faking it as best I can. Anyone else have any ideas to make this work? Thanks guys.Quote from theplumber:
One problem is possibly Win98 and the other is try different pci slots until it works. Work every combo for the pci slots and give Win2000 or XP pro a try.
