Ormond Beach, FL – A pair of Ormond Beach residents are hauled off to jail for starting a bar fight after 1 of them told deputies he’d “kidnap an American and behead him” once he leaves jail.
54-year-old Faisal A. Albagdadi and 30-year-old Ahmed S. Hindi – both from the same address on Holland Road – were arrested on battery and criminal mischief charges around 9pm Tuesday after the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office investigated reports of a fight at the Jus Beachy bar on 1350 Ocean Shore Boulevard.
VCSO says they got a 911 call just past 8pm Tuesday from a bar employee saying around 8 people were involved in a fight inside the establishment, which is in the unincorporated area of Ormond Beach.
Once deputies arrived, the owner of the bar – 61-year-old Margaret C. Hayes – told VCSO Albagdadi and Hindi came in already drunk and got “extremely irate” and “verbally abusive” after a bartender refused to serve them alcohol.
Hayes added that both men started a fight with other bar patrons and that fight saw Albagdadi and Hindi pick up and throw at least 6 bar stools as well as several drink glasses and beer bottles. The damage was estimated to be over $1,200....
