Billions finish high school ... of those millions succeed to go higher and finish college education ... of those 100s of thousands find a job ... from that, thousands come up with a good idea while at work ... from within them only 100 are accepted by the company and put to production ... and finally only a few of those really succeed ...

those few people are the ones that are put to display on national TV ... praised for their supposedly hard work and given attention (and so wealth) ... this makes the viewers want to be like them ... and so builds the American dream within their minds ... they assume that by working hard and going the path he went they too will end up at the same place ...

people fail to understand probability and it's importance in life ...

the way this universe works is no where close to perfect ... it's just probability ... and the chance of things working correctly is very very low ...

no one can be blamed for anything ... the universe is not special, no are humans that are part of it ... their existence means nothing ... and their death is easily acceptable ... killing others or enslaving them is a natural process of this universe whether done through the hands of a small number of people or through other objects ...

Er, they are one and the same thing.

This stuff will be decided by bean counters, at some point the lives of a city or even two of civilians in the nuclear alternative will be less than those incurred in a conventional war.
Except for one thing-a victory in that manner would debase the idea that any of these leaders are actually sane, given MAD. (mutually assured destruction)

Odd, nobody ever mentions bush seniors clinical massacre on the "road of death".
In ancient times, it was regarded as much a disgrace to shoot someone in the back (mow down fleeing troops) as it was to run.

But that's probably romantic era piffle, nobody seems to bother with niceties these days, and i think warfare is all the poorer for it.
 
To be honest I think this whole Iranian thing is a plot against fatties ( I mean cellular genetically disadvantaged people ). The price of gas goes way above $10 a gallon and middle America has to walk again. No! Aaaaaaaaaargh
