Just another hyped-up overpriced stock that's going to go nowhere especially with the privacy concerns and abundance of lower cost or even free alternatives AND banning of its usage in China.
Unfortunately Dropbox is not Google where its use is now so essential and is so integrated into people's lives so even if it's banned in China, it still makes money regardless. Dropbox is an nice-to-have but ok-if-doesn't-have service so when it's banned in China, it's a major hindrance to its customer base and potential revenue growth as its revenue growth is based on people's usage volume, the more the merrier so when it's forever barred from access to a 1.3 billion and growing affluent customer base, you do the math.
It also doesn't help when there are so many free alternatives for online or cloud storage, Skydrive, Google drive, Google +, mega.nz just to name a few. Why pay for something that you can get for free? And if nobody wants to pay, WHERE are they going to get revenue? They have no ads.
Wouldn't invest in the stock long-term. Might do some short-term plays but wouldn't hold it in my retirement portfolio. My personal opinion.
