First of all Ivy league undergraduates come primarily out of 100 high schools in the U.S. - 94 of these high schools are private where the tuition can only be afforded by parents who are multi-millionaires. Considering that approx 82% of Ivy League undergrads come out of these high schools, it appears that Michael went to the wrong high school. He also took the wrong exam. Ivy league schools require SATs and don't take ACT.

My youngest niece got a Questbridge Scholarship; but is applying to Harvard as her #1. They don't take Qbridge, but the rest of the Ivy does. It's a full-ride for the schools which participate.
