Dream Big !

Start small, if you make profits it will take a few months extra before you will be millionaire. But if you make losses you will at least not wipe out in notime, and survive.

Oh, I see. You're assuming I'm a noob. Thanks for the advice though.

Inspirational stories are fantastic however many people write software but there are few that really made it huge Bill Gates Larry Ellison there a many more that made a decent living and many who failed just like any other endeavor. How many lawyers are in the US but how many are really well known ? I believe trading is like anything else you must be smart talented and have the fortitude to make it through the mistakes and hard times then possibly you can make a decent living or become great.

Nice stories. The stock/commodities markets are the biggest wealth creating devices on the planet.

$400 in 1969/1970 when Seykota & Dennis started trading is equivalent to $2,400 now.
$25,000 in 1972 when Baldwin started trading is equivalent to $146,371 now.
$30,000 in 1972 when Marcus started trading is equivalent to $175,645now.

These guys had seats on the Chicago exchange.

Now now. Don't be a downer. This is supposed too be inspirational. There are way too many articles about how traders fail. I just want to point out that Some traders do succeed

It doesn't sound like (some), it sounds like a lot of traders succeed. And, they seem to be active posters in this forum.

Ugh, the clueless on this thread (and site) is incredible. Why is 500:1 leverage bad? Does this really need asked? And this jdesey guy, only one currently on my ignore list.
