Kudos to the rabbai in the video who tries to talk both the guy, and the cop down from killing each other. Guy must be a true believer.

I wonder how liberals are going to spin this guy into a victim, when he lunged at cops with a knife.


Dramatic video shows cop shooting stabbing suspect in NYC synagogue

A New York City police officer shot a suspect in a Brooklyn synagogue early Tuesday after the man had stabbed a worshipper in the left temple, authorities say.

An officer ordered the suspect to drop the knife several times, according to police, adding that more officers arrived and also demanded that the suspect drop the knife.

Police say the suspect placed the weapon on a nearby table but quickly picked it up again and lunged at one of the officers, who shot him once, in the torso.

He later died, police say. The stabbing victim was in serious but stable condition in an area hospital.

The gunshot and much of what preceded it was caught on video that also shows the man falling to the ground. The video was posted on YouTube.

The New York Daily News reports the worshipper is an Israeli student.

The newspaper cites a witness as saying the suspect was shouting, "I want to kill the Jew!"

It says the synagogue is the world headquarters of the Chabad-Lubavitch. That is an ultra-orthodox sect.

Problem is, he should have been shot as soon as he failed to drop the deadly weapon. I was actually torn a new one by brass in the State Police for not taking one down after a knife came out. He cut his throat in front of me (lived though, lol), and I just didn't have a clean shot. You and I know what an edged weapon can do from 21' or less... Scary! I used to watch Dan Inosanto come through an airport metal detector (long before 11 Sept), and he'd have a security guard "cut/stabbed" with 25 or more wounds before I could blink twice.
The suicide by cop I dealt with was with a handgun. However, with a knife, I would have shot him after finding he wasn't gonna drop it. I'd pray he lived through the shooting, but if he doesn't, not my problem anymore.
I didn't see him put hands up, but do know he should have been dealt with much sooner. Any way it's done, the outcome is always negative. Another reason why I wouldn't do that job again for all the milf vagina in Brazil. Lol
