All ages is on the advertising shown. Certainly the level of lewdness is high and unaware parents would be embarrassed if they brought kids.. However when something seems too good to be true as a propoganda piece, it usually is so more digging required. I'd expect the nature of the show was forewarned more than we see.

Regardless, this as with drinking alcohol at home and movies is a parent's role to decide. I know my daughter would found that absolutely hilarious, I would have died maybe with her there :)

Well I just looked at the promo material for their pre-Christmas shows and there are inconsistencies on the billing by venues.

"Here we come bigger and better this holiday season with your favorite queens performing live on stage. Hosted by Trinity The Tuck and Monét X Change. It’s a magical night of fun with holiday classics and naughty shenanigans – with our all new production. All ages welcome – but remember – this is The Naughty Tour! "

And while others dates in November for different cities clearly stated it was adult humour, the Austin one didn't. This is the local promoter in Austin dropping the ball though they did not say is was "family friendly" (typical con BS enhancement) I can see a lazy parent who did not check the reviews (the show is eight years old) being caught unawares. That said, walking into the venue I very much doubt that the adult humour theme was not made clear.

Its obviously not a standard kids pantomime and you would have to be brain dead as a parent to not pick that up.

kink has no place in a "kid's friendly/all ages" show but I won't tell parents how to fuck up their kids either if they choose to have their kids exposed to adult content in a drag show or an R rated movie.....cons on the other hand want to take that choice from parents.

In the case of the Austin show it seems a grandad brought his grandson and as said, the promoter dropped the ball. Another venue for the same show had:

*This show contains mature themes. 18 & older recommended"

So without seeing the tickets and venue posters which may have had advisories I'd say the venue owes an apology. Shit happens.

The accusations of "grooming" are ludicrous. If you want groomers it's the youth pastors etc.

But I re-iterate the view that conservative fetishism is on a different level of real world danger to mere adult theme drag acts.
